Our client who are part of a global organisation manufacturing products within the beauty and personal care industry continue their exciting journey of growth and success based at their Wellington European Head Office site.
On their behalf we are now recruiting a manufacturing/production zone leader. This is an ideal role for an individual forging a career within FMCG production management/Manufacturing. You will be an important part of the production management team reporting directly to the Zonal Operations Manager.This role will involve both day and evening shift working.
The business culture strives towards the highest standards of Quality and Continuous Improvement( Ideally you will have some experience of lean manufacturing techniques, for example,Fishbone,5 Whys, SPC ,Kaizen, SMED, OEE) ,Safety and delivery of Operational Excellence leading to exceptional Customer Satisfaction.
As a leader of people you will bring no only your production line management expertise but the soft skills required to build your team from the ground up.
This will involve training and development ,engaging your team in the continuous improvement culture ,resolving day to day HR issues and carrying out employee appraisals.
Alongside the key areas of Safety, Quality and People Leadership there are of course key competencies that are required to be effective within this role.
- Communication- This is key as you will be leading and directing your team , building important relationships at all levels across all the key departments and meeting customers during site visits
- Planning, Organisation ,Efficiency & Administration- working with the planning team which would include maximising labour utilisation, ensuring all production related paperwork and data capture/management is completed fully and that the supply of production components is both timely and in line with costs
- KPI Measurement of Objectives & Achievements-Including Quality & CI, Safety, Customer Satisfaction, line output and waste management
