Our client who are part of a global organisation manufacturing products within the beauty and personal care industry continue their exciting journey of growth and success based at their Wellington European Head Office site.
On their behalf we are now recruiting a qualified and experienced Health and Safety Practitioner to join the Environment, H&S and Sustainability team. This is an ideal role for an individual forging a career within Health & Safety and will offer a high level of responsibility across the manufacturing site.
The purpose of this role is to effectively drive the safety agenda to ensure that all personnel are operating in a safe and legally compliant environment.
You will be responsible for maintaining the systems in line with ISO 45001 certification standard, applying “continuous improvement” techniques to develop health and safety performance and undertaking Health and Safety Training on a continuous cycle to reduce the risks and increase awareness.
The key areas within the role include
Site Legal Compliance & Audit
H&S Management Systems-ISO 45001 Standard
Risk Reduction -management of the site risk reduction programme
Emergency Preparedness- Maintenance, review and testing of the site emergency plan
Safety Performance -Record maintenance and KPI management
Training- Identify and deliver Health & Safety internal training
Occupational Health -Support the OH Programme Management
Ideally you will bring a minimum of 5 years Health and Safety Experience from within a manufacturing and warehouse environment to be able to operate effectively in this role.
