We are currently working on behalf of a highly successful business with sites based in both Burnham on Sea,Somerset and close to Truro, Cornwall
This is a newly created opportunity which could be based in either location and is available on either a full time or 4 day week basis.
Due to the growth and diversification of the business they now require an experienced Finance Manager/Bookkeeper to take responsibility for the full accounts function from bookkeeping through potentially to management accounts production and liaison with the external accountants
Within this key role you will report directly to the Managing Director.
You will personally take full responsibility for the following varied accounting duties:
Entering purchase and sales invoices and payments onto Sage
Processing payment runs via BACS
Reconciliation of month end process information and entering onto Sage.
Completion and submission of VAT and HMRC returns
There is scope within the role to take responsibility for the full monthly management accounts production and analysis plus payroll based upon your current level of experience and desire to take on additional responsibilities.
The successful individual will ideally have experience and enjoy working within an SME, owner managed business with a turnover in excess of £10m.You will be capable of and happy juggling a busy workload, able to work fairly independently handling transactional finance tasks, reconciliations and pride yourself most importantly on the accuracy of the financial accounting information produced for the business.
Competency in the use of Sage and Excel are required in the role.
