Area Care Manager (South East)

My client, an established and successful care provider, is currently looking for a leadership focussed Area Manager for their South East region (not including London) to look after circa 8 branches. This role, reporting directly into the Regional Care Director, is essential in ensuring exemplary compliance and financial performance of the region.

You will ideally come from an Area Management role within the Care Sector, looking after a number of branches where you oversaw compliance, financial performance, team performance and recruitment. As such you will be a driven high performer who is able to provide strong leadership and example to each branch.

Key responsibilities include:

  • With the Regional Director create a Vision which is based on the strategic plan for each branch which ensures there is a growth, development and quality driven culture across the area
  • Oversee the smooth, efficient and profitable day to day management of all branches and provide leadership, guidance and direction to Branch Managers and Branch staff.
  • Identify any areas of opportunity to improve the development and profitability of the branches
  • Open new branches in line with business roll out plan
  • To support the Branch Managers in maximising the profitable growth of their branch by producing a challenging and realistic budget that improves the growth and contribution of every branch whilst tackling quickly any areas of underperformance
  • To initiate, prioritise and manage a process for reviewing branches that are underperforming in terms of sales, contribution or staff productivity
  • Ensure "Best Practice" is shared throughout the area to improve and exceed overall effectiveness, performance and service standards.
  • To support the Branch Managers in the continual development of the company brand
  • To work closely with key support office departments to ensure there is a clear and concise communication strategy that adds value to the area
  • To ensure the compliance and quality of the branches is met in line with CQC standards and legislative requirements. Lead and manage on any areas of underperformance or concern and take action to improve
  • To ensure that all policies and procedures are communicated and implemented effectively within the area
  • Responsible for the recruitment of staff for area branches and for the ongoing performance of all new branches in the area
  • Manage training delivery across branches to ensure capacity is available and regional training resources is used efficiently

The is an essential role in the continued growth and success of this business, and as such you will be rewarded with a salary of circa £40k - £45k plus car allowance(£400pm), quarterly bonus, a generous pension, EAP, and you will be home based with travel to the South East Region Branches as required and as managed by yourself.
